BASELINE SURVEY
Evidence movement
Initial observation — no prior comparable baseline linked

Evidence-bearing candidate with no independently established transmission channel; nearby theoretical work is not confirmation.

Why it sits here

Cosmological natural selection supplies a direct historical formulation: black-hole successor events are conjectured to alter physical parameters, with selection acting on subsequent black-hole production [S40]. Mathematical inheritance models then explore the consequences of transmission laws [S41]. These sources concern the same problem family but do not identify this programme's unspecified carrier or transmitted content.

Principal uncertainty

This bounded search cannot establish impossibility or exhaust quantum-gravity mechanisms. Absence of direct support here should not be recast as demonstrated erasure. Tests of aggregate selection remain dependent on assumptions about variation and fitness [S41,S42].

What would change the view?

Reassess after the programme specifies the transmitted parameters, channel, retention criterion, and a bounded reset comparator yielding different predictions. A derivation of retention or erasure for those parameters would be materially relevant.
