Initial observation — no prior comparable baseline linked

Retain as a conceptual prerequisite with no empirical score; strong general rationale supplies no evidence of actual cosmic transmission.

Why it sits here

Evolutionary theory separates differential success within a round from change retained through transmission. Philosophical discussions distinguish a focused selection component from the full repeated process; those different denominators explain some apparent disagreement over inheritance requirements [S63, S64]. Cosmic selection models can instantiate the latter structure by specifying offspring-property transitions [S41].

Principal uncertainty

The retained variable, generation relation, accumulation timescale, and permitted population-level memory remain unspecified. Their eventual definition controls whether an alleged counterexample concerns this dependency.

What would change the view?

Revisit if a bounded model demonstrates accumulation without the stated transmitted differences, or a concrete channel claim is introduced for separate empirical assessment.
