If reproductive cosmic selection operates, reproductive fertility may correlate with life-permitting conditions.
Motivated conditional research question; correlation not established. Specify comparator before commissioning.
The closest developed example is Smolin’s black-hole-based cosmological natural selection. It proposes shared prerequisites for stellar black-hole production and carbon-based life, but the supplied node does not select that mechanism, a fertility measure, or a parameter ensemble [S97].
The sign and robustness depend on the reproductive channel, allowed parameter dependencies, weighting measure, and meaning of life-permitting. Life need not be selected directly even if its prerequisites covary with fertility [S98].
A specified bounded mechanism/comparator with sensitivity results that survive observer-conditioning controls would justify reconsideration; a robust zero or reversed relation would challenge that specified instance.
