Why it sits here

Formal conservativity supplies a useful neighbouring example: extensions can preserve earlier interpretations under specified independence conditions [S85]. Scientific theories also include interpretive and practical components, making a solely textual separation potentially inadequate [S86]. Neither literature establishes that this programme has achieved removability.

Principal uncertainty

Which local inferences and interpretive commitments remain dependent on optional premises is unknown. Withdrawing an assumption and establishing its falsity can have different consequences when a supposedly local claim independently entails it.

What would change the view?

Revisit on a future release supplying explicit claim dependencies, or on identification of one indispensable Beyond premise in a local inference. Changes remain subject to the stated human-approval rule.
