BASELINE SURVEY
Evidence movement
Initial observation — no prior comparable baseline linked

Established physical possibility; no programme-specific mechanism independently demonstrated.

Why it sits here

Quantum optics supplies concrete cases: photonic environments alter emitter decay, and repeated interactions alter atomic survival. These are tests of specified dynamical systems, not observations of a universal filter operating before physical structure exists [S47, S48, S49].

Principal uncertainty

Low about the existence of differential local decay; substantial about which alternatives and constraints the programme intends. Absence of an intentional chooser is mechanistic sufficiency, not an experimental exclusion of every metaphysical agency claim.

What would change the view?

Reassess when a bounded comparator, observable and discriminating prediction are nominated, or when differential evidential behaviour supplies a concrete reason to split the node.
