Start with a spark. Make something you can be proud of.
Start with an idea, however rough. It might be a drawing, a story, an object, a room, a garden or something you have not quite worked out yet. The useful thing is to give the idea a first form so you have something real to consider.
Try a creative prompt

Say what you are trying to make and which parts of the idea are a must.
Turn the thought into something you can see, read, hear or otherwise react to.
Keep what works, change what does not, and let your judgement guide the next version. Oh, and remember to have fun doing it.
What this could help with
Possible uses include an invitation, story, room layout, workshop idea, simple visual, garden change, family activity or any situation where seeing a first version makes the next decision easier.
What transfers: The common thread is not the output. It is making an idea tangible early enough that you can question it and improve it.

Our example — how we used it
Snolphin is the playful end of creation: a made-up creature from grandad, grandson and AI became something visible enough to laugh at, change and recognise.
Creating with AI does not have to mean making pictures or imaginary creatures. The Garden is the practical end: ideas could be visualised, compared and changed before anything permanent happened outside.
And, unlike Snolphin, somebody eventually had to pick up a spade.
AI can help
AI can help turn a rough idea into a first version, suggest alternatives and respond quickly to your direction.
You still decide
You decide what the idea is trying to become, what feels right and what is worth keeping.
Try it yourself
I have an idea for [idea]. Help me turn it into something tangible. Start by proposing a simple first version rather than trying to perfect it. I will react to what you produce and we can refine it together. Explain important choices where useful, but leave direction and final judgement to me.Adapt this prompt
